What are the Disadvantages of Road Transportation?

After the proclamation of the Republic, until 1948, railway policy always held an important place in transportation, and at the same time, significant progress was made in road infrastructure. During these times, with the increasing resources, significant developments occurred in road transportation, and the transport of many different types of goods with different vehicles began. Compared to the past, many companies, including Albanian transport companies, now carry out international and cross-city transportation in the most effective ways. The most significant disadvantage of road transportation is that it is more expensive than other transportation systems, and infrastructure investments are also less compared to other systems. However, road transport operations are also carried out to many different countries, including Albanian transport companies. Disadvantages include the small amount of cargo transported in a single trip and weight limitations, susceptibility to bad weather conditions, high risk of accidents, insufficient equipment for high-volume outputs, environmental pollution, traffic congestion, and the use of more land and infrastructure requirements.

What are the General Problems of Road Transportation in Turkey?

Many companies operate as Albanian transport companies today. However, there are also general problems experienced, which are: imbalance of supply and demand, unfair competition due to the excess number of vehicles, and high tonnage transport operations due to low prices offered after competition. Lack of strong projects and lack of supervision also lead to environmental pollution.
