This is the branch of law that regulates the relationship established between the employer and a single employee. It is the body of law that, within the scope of the employment contract established between the employee and the employer, addresses issues such as the preparation of this contract, the determination of working hours, wages, occupational health, etc., and makes relevant legal regulations. As the name suggests, it regulates the mutual relationship between an employer and a single employee.
Employer's Obligations
It can also be defined as the management of labor relations through unions. It is the management of the labor relationship between the employer and numerous employees through unions. This legal relationship is divided into Union Law, Collective Bargaining Law, and Strike and Lockout Law.
The Labor Law is not applied in some jobs. For example, it is not applied to maritime and air transport jobs, domestic work, forestry and agricultural work with less than 50 employees, handicrafts done within the family, apprentices (subject to the right to occupational health and safety), athletes, etc. Within the framework of labor law, the employer has obligations towards the employee. The employer is obliged to pay the wage determined in the employment contract to the employee regularly. The employer is obliged to provide the tools and equipment necessary for the employee during their service. Tools and equipment that are out of use must also be replaced by the employer. The employer is obliged to treat the people they employ equally. They cannot discriminate based on race, creed, gender, etc. Arbitrary behaviors should not be exhibited in punishing and rewarding employees. You can visit the page for more information.
