The Importance of Trabzonspor's Establishment
Trabzonspor's logo, as is known, consists of the letters TS written in blue on a burgundy background. This design has an interesting history. In its early years, Trabzonspor used red and white colors. These were the colors of İdmanspor, which formed the backbone of the team. However, after İdmanspor was dissolved, the need for new colors arose. The burgundy-blue colors, which are the colors of both the team and the logo, originally come from Aston Villa, an English football team. In fact, as can be seen when following
Trabzon news, Şamil Ekinci first brought jerseys with these colors after a visit to England. In other words, Trabzonspor used Aston Villa jerseys with the TS logo imprinted on them for a certain period.
Trabzonspor Women's Football Team
Trabzonspor news allows you to learn everything you are curious about this successful Anatolian team. For example, the six stars on the logo represent the total number of championships the team has won. Although the team has a total of seven championships, only six of them belong to the men's football team. The seventh championship was won by the Trabzonspor Women's Football Team in 2009. In fact, the women's football team is the only Turkish team represented in the UEFA Women's Champions League. Trabzonspor also has basketball, handball, shooting, and judo branches. Orange was also used as an alternative color for a period. Today, burgundy-blue is accepted as the official color of the team, and these colors were even registered in 2003.
